Someone bought a Harley Low Rider S - a stripped down, tightened up, blacked out low rider. They then added all the fairings and chrome bits and big seat that they paid a premium to have removed/replaced.
I mean, you *can* I just don’t know *why...
Now, for the record, if this is the bike you wanted in the first place, that’s valid. I just don’t get why you’d spend all that money on a bike you paid a premium for it to specifically NOT be like that.
And it pains me because I love the stock one so much. Which, in proper form, looks like this:

I’m surprised they didn’t throw the super trendy
Sons of Anarchy t-bars on it.

This is like one of those “spot the differences” panels. Aside from the windshield and passenger seat, where are the other 4?

He probably added speakers. The Harley’s going past my place all weekend have the radio cranked. Or he just hates bugs in the face.

Step one: buy bike with out big fairings and no windshield
Step 2: realize that you liked having a fairing and windshield
Step three : make your bike look kinda ugly

He added “highway pegs” in frnt of the standard footpegs. The bars were raised. The mirrors are chrome. The turn signals and headlight were changed. He also added some chrome luggage/saddlebag holders on the rear. I think the engine has some small chrome farkles. Could be form the HD catalog, or maybe the lick-n-stick rack at a bike shop. Who knows.

Ah yes, buy the most expensive, least touring-capable softtail for the price of a good touring bike, then spend a couple extra grand to convert it into a half-assed touring bike. Genius.

It has a bar riser of some kind on it, but I too am glad it’s not a “fists in the wind” bar.

Still gets all the performance goodies that the Lowrider S got, plus the look. That and so they can say that they have the best Dyna ever made? Either way, I agree that the seat, windshield, and highway pegs kinda defeat the intention of the bike, but at least they’re just bolt on parts.
A second option, sometimes you buy a bike to suit a riding style, and then your riding styles change. It’s easier, and probably cheaper, to add those parts to a bike that to buy a new bike.
